I do not like having to write this issue of Madman’ Guide. Hence the delay. I have barely proof read it. The best I can do is have it be out there to be looked at. I am putting some trust in you, I asking that you be on my side and forgive me a moment of mediocrity. For today is the scratch moon and I have a vessel to purify.

You will not be happy

You will not be happy

In 1978, I was born. In 1975, My parents converted to Jehovah’s Witness.

Usually when I reveal this to friends, they generally react with confusion, pity or recognition. I only ever reveal the second part of my personal mythos. The first part is either a complete fiction or an unprovable truth. Lets’ not get into it yet in the interest of sparing each other’s sanity.

Zooming back to our main point; I got set back a few decades from having been raised in a cult. And I learned some valuable lessons. How mind control works, how to use selectivity to weaponize ideas, how to tolerate social isolation. Also, it taught me the power of believing bullshit. I know most will see this as a bad thing but I see it as a tool.

I now have a keen awareness of an ideological attempt at mind control. I’ve become convinced that ideas are sentient. Some want to become beliefs that they may more firmly anchor themselves in the minds of they willing to propagate them. There is an ideological pandemic. From twitter trying to sell you Pepsi to that elderly woman who wants to give you a Falun Gong brochure. Your attention is desired (see Madman’s Guide Vol. 1 Issue 3).

The redeeming factor of the life I’ve lived is that escaping a cult, along with the alienation, disconnectedness and probably trauma I had to take with me, I also stole away with various useful tools. It was consciousness bootcamp. Without being taught I learned what I later read in Peter J. Carroll’s Liber Null: “Every new form of liberation is destined to eventually become another form of enslavement (…). There is no freedom from duality on this plane of existence, but one may at least aspire to choice of duality”.

God will kill you unless you smile

Smile or God will kill you

A mustard seed sized amount of bullshit will move a mountain. There are war fields filled with bones who will testify to this truth. The lives sacrificed at the altar of bullshit write a blood testament to the brute power of lying, to the unignorable violence of deception.

When I moved to Vancouver after a years long period of secret intuitive questioning, a key aspect of my experience was fear. When you are told for decades that leaving the inner sanctum of your religious family will result in terrible things happening, and then you leave, you have to be a tough son of a bitch to not give in to that fear. This is where the power of bullshit comes in handy. In looking back at my journals, I see how tumultuous my first year in Vancouver actually was. Lost jobs, financial pressure, culture shock and so forth. Just terror in general really. But my leading belief was “everything will be ok”. I sort of bought in to this notion that the universe is on my side, unconditionally (my favorite pronoiac would be proud). I now see this belief as a necessary tool to overcome great fear. I had to essentially stick my head in the sand so as to not slip into paralyzing self-doubt. You have to understand how hardcore of a cynic I was before all of this. So much so was I cynical that I fell into nihilistic depression. It almost killed me. I saw no hope anywhere. So for me to go from “nothing will be ok” to “everything will”, is a huge swing of the pendulum.

There is an in-between chapter here that is too fresh to unpack in a way I can write about. Though I already have.  So I need to jump cut.

Burn. Always burn.

Burn. Always burn.

I’ve come out the other side of this not believing “everything will be ok” but rather that “I can/will make things ok” and more recently I’ve kind of let go of even that and just allowed myself the dignity of playing in the sandbox of now. I must have learned that whatever belief I may have now is under constant threat of being revealed as total bullshit. I get to decide to keep believing for the sake of usefulness, or set fire to my reality. There is power in disrespecting one’s own worldview. It depends on my aims. This tattoo on my shoulder binds me to constant movement. Believe a thing, burn it, believe another thing, burn it. I live in that church and I worship the fire consuming it.

Any perspective we have says more about ourselves and our aspirations than it does reality itself. Leading me to think that moving from an “everything will be ok” mindset to a “I can/will make things ok” paradigm means I am transforming out of blind faith in Other, into self-confidence in my Self. I estimate this to be a milestone step towards self-actualization.

Something my parents can’t grasp is that belief is informed by experience. At first. Then your experience becomes caused by belief. They’ve painted themselves into a corner with extremely limiting beliefs. Dark magic indeed. It’s that whole Will and Perception thing that you read about in Liber Null. Chicken and the egg.

Oh bullshit, you dual-edged sword you!

I’ve mentioned this before in passing but I’d like to elaborate a little here. I am aware that this all probably sounds cynical. Nothing is true, hold on to nothing, everything burns. Gee that guy must be depressed! It seems that it is only in art that I can express the aliveness of my experience of void. If I really was a giving up on everything, I would not be constructing world views at all. Yet I’m here. I don’t doubt you’ve picked up on my curious nature. On my fighting instinct. I am interested in all the angles, I’ve given myself overwhelming options.

Everything is beautiful and moves.

I discovered this hack sometime last year, but I’ve only been using it for the last few months. It’s a bit of a parlor trick, admittedly. I can afford the 49 cents everyone else spends, but that’s not the point. The point is that it is completely legal. Which means, if you don’t know about this (and I only learned about it last year), there is much about the law you don’t know.

First, the trick. Write the return address so it looks like this:

Your Name
c/o Your Address
Town, State

Make sure you don’t use any abbreviations. Write New Hampshire instead of NH (or your state’s equivalent). Write avenue instead of ave., and so on. Remember, no zip code! Here’s a fictional example:

Tyler Durdin
c/o 1234 Paper Street, Apartment #5
Detroit, Michigan

The recipient’s address can be in the normal fashion, or it can follow this fashion. It doesn’t matter. All that matters is that you are sending the letter from the jurisdiction of the Several States, and not from the jurisdiction of Washington DC. If you are in the same city as the recipient, you only need to put two cents on the envelope. Either way, the envelope can weigh as much as half an ounce.

Finally, take the letter to the post office of your choice and drop it in the box marked “letters”. You may try to give it to one of the clerks, but in my experience, they always claim this should not, cannot, and will not work. It seems these clerks either do not know the obligations of the USPS or are purposely obscuring the truth (personally, I believe it’s the former). I like to think I’m a pretty clever guy. However, I do not think I can fool the space age technology of the USPS sorting machines, which means, this is all somehow strangely legal.

So why no zip code, you ask? If you are using a zip code, you are within the jurisdiction of Washington DC…

…I can hear it now. All five of you still reading this post are saying “I’m not in Washington DC. I’m in Vermont, Pittsburgh, Punkin Center…” Well, not physically, but legally you are in Washington DC.

The short of it is that the Civil War made a mess of the federal government. The mailing standards set just prior to the war are still in effect (if you want the specific paperwork, you’re looking for the Stamp Act of the 37th Congress), but this is only for the Several States and article IV citizens. During the Civil War, a second class of citizen was born. The fourteenth amendment made the slaves federal citizens – a status that didn’t exist before the war. Politicians-in-the-know refer to this as the “special condition” of the fourteenth amendment. The current postage of 49 cents is for anyone subject to the statutes of Washington DC: agents, employees, and citizens. The fourteenth amendment also allowed that federal citizens can live anywhere in the Several States as “residents”.

To manage their newly acquired residents, the federal government set up administrative districts. Being always above board and beyond reproach, the federal government made their efforts obvious to the people. They called these districts “The State of” and placed them geographically on the state of choice. So although there is New York, there is also The State of New York. These two places exist in the same geographical area, but are completely separate jurisdictions. Same goes for cities, counties, and all sorts of local jurisdictions. If you are in “The County of El Paso” know that you are also in El Paso County, but you are subject to federal statutes. If you are in “The City of Pittsburgh” you are also in Pittsburgh, but you are subject to federal statutes. These districts are the jurisdiction of the federal government. The “courts” of this federal system are called the statutory courts, because they enforce the statutes of Washington DC, and her 50 administrative “States”. I’ve heard it said this is why statutory courts fly flags with a gold fringe: to signify the jurisdiction of Washington DC.

A bit of recap: there are two kinds of citizenship in the United States of America. One is subject to the laws of the Several States, protected by the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution. These are article IV citizens as identified by Article IV of the U.S. Constitution. They are not authorized in federal jurisdictions. Although an article IV citizen may be in California, that same citizen is not allowed in The State of California, which means he is not subject to federal statutes.

The other form of citizenship is the “special condition” of the fourteenth amendment, and although these citizens are offered protection from the Several States, they have no protection from the federal government whatsoever. These people are called residents because their domicile is Washington DC.

So how do you know if you are one and not the other? That depends on how you identify yourself. If you identify yourself with a birth certificate, social security number, driver’s license, or any other administrative identification (pretty much anything “official” except a passport) you are a federal citizen. If you created your own identification, you are a citizen of the Several States.

I’m betting most of you are just now realizing that you are part of the “special condition” of the 14th amendment, and thus, you are a federal citizen. This wouldn’t be an issue if federal citizens were protected by the Bill of Rights, but they are not. These citizens are subject to the federal government with no protections whatsoever. Their rights are modifiable. In other words, the federal government never really freed the slaves. They simply took ownership and convinced almost everyone else to “volunteer” into federal slavery. So while your president tells you that you are hated for your freedoms, he secretly knows you don’t have any. Ain’t that a bitch?

But I have a key for you: if you can volunteer in, you can volunteer out. Simply make an identification and state your domicile, then divorce yourself of all offending obligations and entitlements.

That said, the entire matter is tied up in more history and legal posturing than I can reasonably put in one mere blog post. Instead, I’d like introduce you to some friends of mine: Todd McGreevy and Corey Eib of the Agenda31 show. These are the two gentlemen that showed me this twisting honeycomb of a rabbit hole, and I can’t thank them enough. If you’d like to know more about this subject, feel free to visit them at for some low risk, high reward initiatives. That is, if you’re all caught up on the Grimerica, of course.

A note from Corey Eib –

“One point I would like to add is that this non-domestic mail also demonstrates that the existing government has an obligation to provide a republican form of government to the several states.

The several states must pay debts in gold and silver, this includes paying the Post Office Dept for postage used by the governments of the several states.

You and I are not required to pay anything in gold and silver, so we can use fiat currency to buy 2 cent stamps, and that is a great deal for us. But the deal is just plain normal and fair for the several states. Say California presented 1 US minted Silver Dollar (worth about $23 today) and got 50 USPS stamps in return. This means each two cent stamp cost about $0.46 each, pretty close to the price of a ‘forever’ first class USPS stamp today.

Not only is this a nice parlor trick, but it is also evidence of the ability of the people to re-start the functions of the several states and have those states be able to purchase postage using gold and silver coin.

States today are not the same as the several states, they, like us, are not required to purchase postage with gold and silver.”

It slices! It dices!

It slices! It dices! It’s magic!

“Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it” – Roal Dahl

“The only dangerous thing about magic is that it works.” – Unknown

I’m not one to bury the lead. I believe in spirits. My relationship to belief creates context here and that will be a theme over my entire blogging arc here at Grimerica. So here’s the Cliff’s Notes version: I use belief as a tool. I don’t consider the truthiness of things I believe. I consider the beliefs’ effectiveness to effect the change I seek, and choose accordingly. Mostly, there are important exceptions, and that too will eventually feature in some articles.

There is however, a process of refinement. It’s not a dice game, it’s about playing your best hand to maximize your odds. +EV

Now let’s narrow it down, flesh out the model.

  • What’s a spirit?

This guy wrote my favorite definition of spirit here. It’s part of a series of articles called “Asatru for Atheists”. Essentially it defines spirit as an aggregate of qualities of a thing which may or may not be manifest in matter. Read this excerpt:

Let us take, for example, the spirit of a sword and examine what it is in terms of information. Obviously, it is a sword – but what is a sword, and how do we recognise such a thing? In our minds we generally have a list of possibilities, each characterised by a cluster of properties, which we compare to what we are looking at. For example, a sword is solid, can be large or small, is long and sharp (but not inevitably so), is usually made of metal, may have one or two sharpened edges, may be pointed etc. These things are, in essence, the ‘spirit’ of the generic sword.

That objects have spirits consisting of the characteristics that define them is a notion first expounded upon in detail by Plato, several thousand years ago. He posited a ‘Platonic Realm’ of ‘Ideal Forms’ of which our world was only an imperfect shadow. The notion of Platonic perfection is still present today in branches of modern physics – some highly speculative. I limit myself here to discussing the notion of ‘spirit’ in the context of information theory of contemporary science, but will return to it later.

We now know the ‘spirit of sword’. It is not much of a leap to extend the idea to encompass type and individuality, i.e. to imagine that a particular sword type might have a more highly defined spirit. In the case of a Viking sword, the attributes of ‘sword’ become more specific; namely its steel, its unique shape of blade, guard, pommel and decoration. One can further refine all this to the point where a particular Viking sword is recognised.

That’s pretty much it. A spirit is a bunch of things linked together that describe and/or make up another thing that is perceived (which, come to think of it, is a good description of just about everything). You’ve heard the story of the tribal leader talking about his knife. He explains how the knife has been in his family for centuries. They changed the handle a few times and the blade a few times. But it’s still the same knife. In greek philosophy, this paradox was known as Theseus’ paradox (link).

Now, if you allow for ideas, emotions, instincts to be things, then you start getting close to an inkling of my model of spirits. And you have to allow it because I can’t honestly say I’ve ever gotten results from invoking the spirit of an actual thing (some people apparently have). It has been much more effective (very effective I’d say) to invoke the spirit of ideas anchored to a thing representing them. At this point my soundbite definition of spirit seems in order: The exteriorization of the commonly interiorized. It’s clunky and incomplete. I might make an attempt at discussing the empirical evidence for the existence of independently sentient consciousness at some point but don’t hold your breath, it isn’t my specialization. For now the above model works as a stepping stone towards the description of what it is I experience.

Ball of war!

Ball of war!

  • How?

Good question. So let’s take for instance, the god Mars. Basically, Mars – other than being a floating ball in space, which is impressive enough – is an empty vortex for the aggregation of inter-related ideas, emotions and instincts too complex and fleeting to grasp in a simultaneous manner. Linearity need not apply. So though I suspect an invocation to Mars is simply a calling out of what is within, I “believe” the planet Mars is a spirit I can contact in a variety of ways so that I/it may enact change in my Self/my reality. Not because that this is more true but also not in spite of it being false. Rather, the belief of it being the calling upon something larger than me makes the invocation a more potent experience. The belief is the experience. Experience and belief, will and perception. There’s a neither/neither relationship there.

One way to describe the mechanism of magic, is to liken it to a binary system. A thing is in a state of on or off and I use magic to flip it to the other state. It is way more spectrum-y and unpredictable than that, but for the sake of functionality this description works – I invoke the spirit of truncation discussed in Madman’s guid Vol. 1 Issue 2. So in the case of Mars, let’s say I fear conflict and am incompetent at managing it but conflict is present. I invoke Mars to flip that around to graduate towards the relishing of conflict for the competent ending or resolving of it. When the result is obtained, I make a payment to suspend the operation. Or in the case of failure, go back to the drawing board.

If I were to approach this same problem in a common manner and actually spell out all the things I would need to do and think to achieve the same result I get from invoking Mars, I’d be here for 16 years (which is probably why works of fiction can have such major impact on the world). That’s the thing with symbols, they demarcate the limits of intellectual dissection and announce the beginning of mystery and assimilation.

The spirit of Mars is monumentally more nuanced and fluid than my linear mind can handle (another way to think of it is that invocation is the tapping into the genetic memory of my ancestors at some time doing a similar thing). So this becomes a pragmatic issue. Invocation is the most effective method for me to simultaneously apprehend and apply a vaguely defined set of multiple moving concepts, inter-connected in a super-complex manner. It’s not the front-of-mind thinking which has become so valued in modern society. It’s more something you turn on, aim and ignore. It can appear to be a passive thing in the day-to-day working of it actually.

TuningFork copy

Wait there’s more! You see, because this invocation stuff has a lot of history and a built-up egregore in constant movement, I can’t just dive in an invocation and expect my mind will tune into the Mars spirit. The egregore is a large part of this spirit, and so to use it is to tweak that invocation dial closer to the frequency I need. Trust me, I tried burning a dollar store incense stick and waving a steak knife over a tea light in the hopes Mars would respond. It was pretty much the most impotent thing I’ve ever attempted. But then I read some books. I found out which plants are under which planet, studied planetary associations. How the Greeks did their thing, the Egyptians. What, in legend pleased Mars? Why? I make no claim to be an expert because I clearly am not one, but I am making a special effort to be honest. This is a process of gut feel and trial-and-error with an emphasis on the courage of admitting error and enduring trial. But, you see, with this time spent I’m more committed (Jason Miller would call this, investment in a “current”). So no matter how you look at it I think I’m in much better shape. If spirits are an interior thing made exterior, then it’s advantageous that my psyche be invested. If spirits really are exterior, I figure they’ll be more likely to pay attention to someone showing a real interest in them. I figure this because they have.

I see magic as a system for wrangling my Self into a more cohesive and deliberate whole. This necessitates that I wrench parts of me from their centre so that I may look at myself from different angles. If I hadn’t been born into a mind control situation with the spirit of God thrust upon me without my consent, I probably wouldn’t have reason to consider the state of my cognitive sovereignty. But I was and I do.

There’s probably more to spirits than this of course. When you start thinking that ideas are stored in matter (the brain) and muscles have memory, and that DNA is kind of like a book all of which can be accessed by a willing Self. It’s not much of stretch to think maybe other types of matter can store raw information that may be accessible via the stretching of psychic tendrils. And I’ve had my share of unusual experiences that would tip a less skeptical person in a direction I am not compelled to entertain. Call it suspicion of certainty.

Lately I’ve found myself crossing over into ambivalence about the reality of non-material sentience to an interest in the evidence. But the exactitude of all this is an ancillary concern of mine. I refuse to sell myself as a slave to empiricism. I’d rather try and relax into my worldview – so please please please, you are welcome to remind me to chill out about all this. I’ll be grateful. Figuring out what’s true is my hobby at best. Some people collect stamps. That’s at least as valid a pastime.

As the holy bard Terrence McKenna once said in response to the question “Is it the Truth?”

“Well, it’s true enough!”

This is another post concerning the meaning of number. This study is often called esoterica, number logic, god-spell, sacred math, and many other things.

Some call it nonsense.

The number nine is a strange and paradoxical number. It hides in plain sight, returning what is given, and reflecting what is seen. Turned on its head, nine appears to be a six heading the wrong direction. Consciousness is askew. It is said to be the number of the ego. Much is made of “I” being the ninth letter. Some call nine problematic and chaotic. They prefer the clean symmetry of eight, and claim it is the true ruler of numbers. Perhaps these are the same people that call for the death of ego, but I do not. I beg it to live. But I ask it to be at peace, to understand it’s place, for then the individual is truly powerful.

Nine is the number of months spent in the blessed prison of the womb, the mother freely giving of herself in order to bring about a new life. Each and every one of us is a new life. The nine continues to ten, and now there is one with room to play, study, and grow. We must count, and we shall have to count higher and higher until we perceive the meaning of nine. It is consciousness turned inward, knowing it must die if it will live again and again.

Nine is the return to the individual, only he has stepped through the braiding energies of eight and arrived on the other side. The keys to the Nine Gated City of God are forged with care and vigilance, and can be shaped by none other than the one that walks the path. No longer does the individual see only himself in the spinning cosmos, for he recognizes the divine in everything around him. Everything is conscious – the dirt and the sea, and everything in it. It is all worthy of understanding. But the individual is no longer threatened by the divinity of the rocks and the ocean. His place is secure, for he understands that although fear creeps at the heart, even when he forgets, the universe remembers. Naught is lost.

I am blessed, and although I am God’s chosen, so are all the others. My path is mine alone, but it welcomes my dancing feet and supports every step I take, be they proper or not. The only way to proceed through the maze is with eyes wide open, leaning on the strengths granted me, and obscuring my weaknesses, with wit and talent. God has granted his grace, and I receive it with a grateful heart. This is the miracle – the mirror clue – that maps the plentiful paths home.

We all grow from the heart. It is the middle, and we are born in the middle, life from death, the proper pentagram blooming from the corpse of the inverted star. The heart germinates as we root into the physical world, and branch for the heights of consciousness. The heart is our trunk, pushing and pulling the vital essences within us. Each of us should embrace the life given us. It is no less a path than any other, and deserves the dignity of conscious sight.

Ego is a love of the self, although it is known to inflate and carry us off into grand delusions. But we must not seek the death of such a noble individual, for each path has noble cause, and each path must develop a noble creed. I am meant for me alone. It will take all the strength of the body, all the grace of the heart, and all the cunning of the mind to step from the small interests of the world, and nurture instead the divine interests of the common universe. If I am asked to add to the world, I must first love myself and the part I play.

Do not lament your weakness. Instead, give thanks for your strength. Do not begrudge the struggle of others and the answers they create for themselves, unless they infringe on the rights and dignities of others. Do not not begrudge the crutches and assistance others take, for we all lean from time to time. Judge not, lest ye be judged. Smile and grant others your grace. Open your heart, and give gratitude for the capacity and interest of those around you. Forgive and forget, that the worse parts of your self might be invisible to the eyes of your brothers and sisters.

You are the Adam Kadmon, and all the world is yours to name. Define your terms, and sign on the dotted line, that the universe might contract and expand you with the pulse of inhale and ex. The universe know of your imperfection and begs only that you play your part with heart and courage, an able actor chosen specifically for your role. What will you be? Will you be a poet? A warrior? A villain, healer, musician, sneak, teacher, specialist, or jack of many trades? There is yet time to highlight your strengths and scrub at the stains of your mistakes. I for one will be a thief with the words of others at my mouth, for all is mine, and I share it freely with you: Be who you are, everyone else is taken.

interview starts 37:15 Charles Ortel joins us for a chat about the Clinton Foundation and other false front charities. There are over a million tax exempt organizations in the States. Charles has been investigating the legality of The Clinton Foundation and it’s web of donors and charities…. what he’s calling the Clinton charity network. This is way bigger than the Clintons, and its not about the right or the left. Charles has uncovered many discrepancies with the way this foundation is set up and what has been happening to the money. Charles is an investor and a writer interested in geo-politics, history and economics. He’s been putting this research online for free for all to see.  This scandal could be setting a terribleprecedence for others in office to create these money laundering and pay to play charities.  We chat about the history of this specific foundation and the history of charity law. These “merchants of misery” use disasters and crisis capitalism along with sovereignty changes to funnel money to their private coffers. Charles also talks about the genesis of this research and where he is going with it in the near future. This is just scratching the surface and maybe there is a chance to expose this robin hood in reverse global corruption before its too late.     See below for approximate time stamp of the topics we chat about….:   41:40 – The inner workings of charities and how they are supposed to be set up and work. 47:00 – The Clinton Foundations “little” broken rules. 54:00 – The Haiti mission and the 14 billion 1:04:00 – The dirt on Laureate education and managing to get 4 billion in debt. 1:36:00 – UNITAID, in for a billion, collaboration of countries in Europe. 1:46:00 – What will happen to the Clintons if/when caught and how likely…..   In the intro Darren and Graham shoot the shit about listener feedback and synchronicities and chat about experimental ways to alter consciousness in high school. A warm welcome to all of our new listeners. One of our listeners suggest creating a link to movies and books that have assisted in a “spiritual awakening”. I’ve settled on a format for blogging at Grimerica. I will be writing volumes of 3 and possibly more articles. Each volume will be followed by a standalone post that will aggregate whatever I’ve been interested in lately in the form of videos mostly, but also factoids, podcasts, images and so forth. The goal of course is to post stuff that will intersect with Grimerican interests and possibly weave a vague theme with the differing elements.

Best of luck this weekend of the half moon. I am currently in Seattle for the Esoteric Book Conference. If you are also there, hit me up on twitter: @ulyssesnewcomb. Let’s grab a beer.

#1: So I recently learned that Samhain is pronounced “sow-in”. Like “sound” with a silent “d”. It is the time when the veil is the thinnest. Timing is everything, use this at your advantage. You are welcome.

#2: The sounds of space.

#3: A lot of predictive models both esoteric and not are predicting major changes this fall. See #1.

#4: “Mock human sacrifice at CERN.” Note how this was performed in front of a statue of Shiva the destroyer. There is a statue of Shiva the destroyer at CERN. I remember the Satanic panic of the 90s and how everyone was terrified of Dungeons and Dragons and Heavy Metal music. But CERN does this shit and it gets barely 48 hours of media play. I love the “analysis” that concludes the video is staged. Of course it’s fucking staged! That’s what a ritual is! That is exactly how you generate an effect from a ritual. The filming of this, the release, the subsequent debunkings. That’s the ritual.

#5: Make up your own mind but remember when CERN did this?

#6:  John Brandenburg was on Skeptiko: This one’s for the hosts in the hopes they’ll get this guy on. Brandendurg is a plasma physicist who discovered extremely convincing evidence of an artificial nuclear explosion on Mars. You want to know about this, it’s a big one.

#7: Kurt Vonnegut on the shape of stories. You don’t need a hint for this one I’m sure.

#8: A short documentary about the Ponte Tower. Rebuilt from rubble.

#9: Wrest control of your thoughts. All the way.

#10: This Rubin Report on “persuasion” in politics (ie. mind control) is pretty bang on:

There’s a lot of discussion about magic, how it works, and how to work it. In numerology, 7 is the number of luck, talents, intuition, and manifestation. Seven is the cutting edge, the ever present now, expanding, constricting, dividing, and multiplying as we move into the next moment.

Magic is how the universe operates. We do not get to know it all, but only a piece. Our consciousness is always one less (6 is the number of consciousness). It does not matter if we do not understand how the world works, and our weak, insistent arguments can not nudge, influence, or hijack what is possible. The true operation of magic is aligning ourselves with the true work of the world, instinctually, subconsciously, and consciously.

But if we can only manipulate the conscious mind, how are we to tune our instincts and our subconscious? How do we influence that which we cannot access? What if I told you we can access our instincts, and our subconscious?

The heart is the seat of our instincts. Our emotions let us know when our spirit is lacking. Fear in its many forms empties us and saps our instincts. Love in all its forms fuels our heart, and makes it lighter than the proverbial feather. When our heart is light, the proper course opens of its own accord. It is an obvious path if we are in balance.

The belly is the seat of our subconscious. There is increasing science to support a direct line between the gut and brain. We have “gut reactions” and often “go with our gut” about certain things. But our subconscious is only as healthy as our appetites. The world is here for our pleasure, as God made it pleasing to us. But we should not overdo it. If our virtue becomes vice, we will destroy ourselves by becoming slave to the material body and its insatiable wants.

Finally, there is the mind, the conscious mirror of symbol and glyph. Our words and thoughts cascade like a river over rock, and we easily confuse this unending rush with the world as it is. If we think a thing hard enough, can we make it so? But the world is not so easily manipulated.

The key is balance. We seek to balance the hope of the heart, the precision of the mind, and the appetites of the body. If we want to live full and interesting lives, we will need all three aspects of our selves. The universe does not expand with ever increasing complexity so we can ignore one part or another.

The relationship between the holy trinity and the cutting chevron is emblematic of sex magic with the active seven serving the role of the phallus, and the near circle of three serving as the yoni. Our balance must accept the honest state of the world. Although we are also magic, we are small compared to the unending string of stars and galaxies. We should not put ourselves above our true station.

Magic is more than we will ever know, but magic always works, hence why we practice. Practice what works and practice your magic. If we put ourselves in balance, we can access it with greater ease and to better ends. Yes, there is black magic, in which we occult our small discoveries, and hoard our base understandings. Dark magic lords its slight advantages against others. But dark magic is always a small thing compared to light. Dark magic is a groping and selfish endeavor, mistaking the elephant in the room for a mere rope, a tree, or a serpent.

Light magic is revealing and explosive. Light serves the senses, and thus makes sense. Not only do we see the elephant, but the world in which it stalks. Dark magic is forever fading, as the devil quotes scripture better than all the others. But the devil does not understand the words, as he trips on his own lies. White magic forgives us of our unending imperfection. White magic is maximizing our strengths to minimize our weaknesses. The world isn’t meant to be perfect. It is simply meant to be balanced, and that balance must be our own. We can practice our balance, and learn to stand, walk and run; or we can lie, cheat, and steal, and put off our balance for another day. But do not fool yourself. The universe will have her due, in this life or the next. Live in the light or die in the dark. The choice is yours, magician.

Racism and bigotry has come full circle. No matter who you are, there is a group to hate. Don’t like darkies? That’s a classic. But if you’re into hating your elders, whites, or males, your time has come! No longer is the bottom rung only for minorities or females! Progress has put us all on the bottom! Want to hate on the children? Millennials are lazy! Want to hate on your parents? Old people are senile and crazy! Want to hate on the rich? Robber barons! The poor? Also lazy, those ingrates! Want to hate on anyone with a different skin tone, language, class, caste, religion, nationality, or profession? Your time is now! We hate them all! Especially you, fucking calicos!

Some people notice the increasingly harsh tone coming from all sides. They warn it’s a divide and conquer strategy. Divide the commoners against each other in order to control them. Of course, this can only be the case if there is a bold conspiracy to control us all… Or might it be that we are simply a chaotic race in which parasites abound? Frauds, gangsters, murderers… Our chaos is their order. We lose our humanity to gain a profit, and the people become all the more poor.

We are poor. We are poor of spirit and poor of materials. We are poor of understanding and poor of health. Confusion reigns. Life is hard on all of us. Yet, we all seek profit instead of prophet. What is the difference? Profit is the money in my pocket, debt paper demanding the chattel of the future pay for here and now. Enslave them before they are born! It is the small heart of the cruel man taking and taking, but never giving. The profit is individual. For these people, bigotry is nothing personal. It is sound business. We hate ’em all, even our own, and we profit.

What we need is prophet. We need people that add to others as well as themselves. We need innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs seeking the good of the win-win solution. Our problem isn’t actually racism, as most of us are quite accepting of others. That is only the divide and conquer strategy of those that would have us look the wrong way. Our problem is poverty. Our problem is that we are convinced we are morally bankrupt as well as physically.

Our answer is true wealth: a wealth of good information, of proper action, and kind participation. Leave the small minds to debate small topics, and go about your own business. Stick to what works. Reform yourself and lead by example. Don’t bother with permission. The ones granting permission don’t have your interest at heart, only your control. Somehow the lunatics have taken control of the asylum. But I will live in an asylum no more. I’d rather beg forgiveness than ask permission. So I work hard, and when I can’t take anymore, I socialize and play among my friends. Just having friends proves I’m a good person. Cheats, thieves, and charlatans only have marks. When they look about the world, they see only victims and fellow perpetrators.

We don’t have to involve ourselves in the hate and bigotry so often fed to us. It is our choice. Do we want to concentrate on all the terrible things done to us, and by us? Let justice claim us all. We will all be blind by the end of the day. Or shall we allow mercy to tug our hearts, and remind us that despite our faults we have many triumphs and many virtues? Forget the ongoing battles between this and that group, offering only hate and violence as a solution. Focus on your values. Focus on the valuable. Focus on the good you can do for yourself, for your friends, and for the world at large. If the haters come at you, keep to your business, or tell them what you think. If they try to take by force and come at you with violence, hit ’em in the mouth and defend what is yours. That is your right.

We are victims none or victims all. Give good to the world, or get what you get. There is no taking without giving. If you refuse to give, know that nature will eventually take you. We all end up in the grave, even those that live to be 103 and steal their whole lives. The question is what we will be between now and then. Personally, I like the give and take. I give that others might take, and take that others might give. In the end, I only hope to add some wonder, some thought, and some goodness to my kind. We need a world of prophets, a world of tihinkers, seers, and doers. We don’t need to suffer the lies and deceptions of the devilish few. This is our world as much or more than it is theirs. We can answer with kindness, love, and hope, or we can be caught up in the violence, fear, and hate, and see ourselves washed from the world. The choice is ours. The choice is yours.
