Ha! You didn’t think I could do it, did you? You doubted in my ability to post with regularity, didn’t you? Yep, me too.
There is a character who reemerges in this story, who if you look back through my archived issues, was formerly a background character. I guess one of the benefits of posting consistently would be not having to explain that, and instead having the story develop organically, but… oops.
There’s 7 Easter Eggs hidden in this one, some are quite small, likely too small. This is kind of a test to discover just how small I can make those eggs before they lose meaning. So, let me know how many you can spot.
I’m blowing up the Easte Eggs on my phone for all to see!
Soooo, I’ve been working on finishing up my second book in the Lost Bread graphic novel series, but in doing so, have neglected my online posting! The shame of it all. I had hoped to finish the Cloud Mummies story line in its entirety before releasing it page by page online, then making the hard copy book available for purchase. Unfortunately, life’s been getting in the way of that plan. Anyway, I’ve made enough of a dent in the writing to where I feel confident I’ll be able to post weekly again, complete with all new Grimerica Easter eggs.
Since its been a while since my last update, some of you may not be familiar with the plot. Fortunately, its all archived here on this site for your enjoyment/derision.
Some of you may know me exclusively from Instagram, (@lucid_nap) where I post regular updates on my episode art and progress on the second book. If you’re in that camp, you may notice I look slightly different in my photos than I do here. I’m actually not a cartoon,(though I’m looking into ways to remedy this) but I do enjoy bringing my lucid dreams to life in that format.
Check out my website www.lostbreadcomic.com for more art, updates, and available copies of my installment in the Lost Bread series!
So, sorry for the lengthy wait between issues this time! Drawing backgrounds, landscapes and aerial shots gets really time consuming, but its necessary to communicate this dream to you! That, and I’ve been doing publicity work for “Lost Bread vol. 1”, which I published last Spring. It’s a full graphic novel version of this web comic, with a few new panels and surprises thrown in. The best thing about it is that you don’t have to click through my backlogged posts to figure out what’s going on! Nope, its all right there in your very hands! You can check it out on my website www.lostbreadcomic.com You can also buy original art (when available) and prints there, including prints of episode art I’ve done for The Grimerica Show!
Right now, I’m working on “Lost Bread vol. 2” and hope to have it out this Fall. Of course, I’m giving Grimericans the first look at my work, debuting it here as I cobble it together!
In our last issue, the gang was trying to devise a way to save The Robert! from death by balloon. My Ex, Josie, had mysteriously vanished and Marco, (my horrible, horrible brother) declared he had a plan. I’ve known Marco my whole life but he’s never been satisfied doing things the easy way, or missing an opportunity to cause trouble for me.
It has come to my attention that it may be prevalent to include this clip as reference, for those of you unfamiliar with the tune Yakety Sax as played on accordion… don’t worry, it’ll make sense soon enough.
Soooo, it’s been a while huh? I have to apologise, I’ve had my hands full as of late. What with the holidays, work, trying to traverse the quagmire of self publishing, and building my first solo website for Lost Bread (sharing a website with a sibling, as I currently do, turns out to be just as bad an idea as you’d imagine) I’ve had a lot on my plate.
The hope is, when all of this is said and done, that you’ll be able to buy a hard copy of Lost Bread. You will (one day) be able to own actual comic book you can hold in your very hands and read (instead of scrolling back through the archive and trying to figure out what the heck’s going on.)
Regardless, I am happy to be back in the saddle and hope to make up for lost time by submitting this six page extravaganza for your enjoyment (or loathing and mockery, I’m not telling you how to live your life!)
And now, on to the show.
In our last episode, The Robert had been sent aloft in a balloon, presumably to his death…
Sorry for the delay. I’ve had to redraw most of this issue thanks to computer troubles. However, I am happy to announce that my trusty computer has been fully restored thanks to a generous donation from my new sponsor! Yes folks, this issue of Lost Bread: Cloud Mummies is brought to you courtesy of Leggy Lad’s Shorts Emporium.
Be on the lookout for their latest leggy looks, making their debut right here in Lost Bread: Cloud Mummies V.7
Hooray, the latest issue is finally finished and ready to post! Took me a little longer than I hoped, but I wanted to make it extra pretty for you. This rousing installment of the Cloud Mummies saga features Easter Eggs with both Graham and Darren! If you’re new to the series,I should let you know that I always draw Graham as Ray Stantz from Ghostbusters. Darren is always shown in full welding gear, because well, he’s a welder, and for some reason, I simply can’t imagine him without his helmet on. Okay, I’ll shut up now…

Sorry for the long wait on this one! I’ve been traveling, doing research for an upcoming graphic novel project (which I’ll tell you more about soon, promise.) Anyway, better late than never, here is Cloud Mummies v.5, complete with Easter eggs. This is the “Chocked Full O’ Graham!” issue, which nobody asked for but I decided to make anyway. Each and every panel features a glorious depiction of Graham (as Ray Stantz) or the word Graham, except for one.
